City of Tomorrow
From September 20, 2023 to January 7, 2024, the Cité des sciences et de l'industrie is hosting City of tomorrow, an exploration in 1000+ solutions, an exhibition designed by the Solar Impulse Foundation. Echoing Urgence Climatique, this exhibition, focusing on the challenges of ecological transition in urban environments, invites the public to explore the many innovative approaches that today's technologies offer to protect the environment while promoting economic development.
The success of the green transition depends less on the development of new technologies, but rather on the creation of favourable conditions to increase the adoption of current solutions and benefit from their widespread implementation.
Prêt à Voter Switzerland
The Solar Impulse Foundation has launched Prêt à Voter Switzerland, 25+ legislative recommendations which take clean technologies as a starting point in guiding the modernisation of the Swiss legal and regulatory framework.
This is part of a wider initiative to change laws to accelerate the speed of the ecological transition. To this end, we are collaborating with nine other organizations in Switzerland who advocate for greater cleantech adoption. This summer members of this collective will publish a series of articles that will serve as a practical guide to advancing this cause, from working with innovative companies, campaigning and mobilising key actors, to identifying the business case for certain laws and navigating the political system. Each article focuses on a specific topic and is contributed by a specialist organisation or actor in that particular field.
