Chemix JADE by MIX™ (or JADE) is a high-performance, ultra-safe, and sustainable battery chemistry designed to power electric transportation in emerging EV markets. JADE is developed using the AI-powered MIX design platform, which shortens battery development time by 10X compared to traditional labour-intensive approaches, thanks to our proprietary AI algorithms and high-volume and quality experimental datasets. JADE battery designs are compatible with existing battery manufacturing processes, enabling a seamless transition from concept to high-volume production for our customers to build cost-effective and high-performance EVs. Chemix’s extensive portfolio of battery technologies finds applications across various mobility sectors – from two-wheeled e-motorbikes to commercial buses, trucks, and heavy-duty equipment.

The environmental benefits

  • JADE chemistry doesn't contain cobalt and nickel
  • JADE shows 25% higher energy density than widely adopted LFP chemistry
  • Future generations of JADE will match the energy density of widely adopted NCM batteries while being significantly less susceptible to battery fire and being 20% cheaper
  • Approximately 85 million two/three-wheel vehicles are sold annually worldwide. These vehicles typically cover around 5000 km each year and emit about 1.25 metric tons (MT) of CO2 annually
  • A typical commercial delivery truck emits approximately 200 MT of CO2 annually. If we replace 240,000 trucks, which represent 30% of the TAM of 800,000, with electric trucks powered by JADE, we could achieve about a 60% reduction in CO2 emissions
