I-CENSE
In-line autonomous sensor to survey potable water delivered to people in distribution pipes

Identification
The I-CENSE is a probe for real-time monitoring of drinking water quality inside distribution pipes. The probe is directly inserted inside the pipe and measures chlorine, turbidity, conductivity, temperature, flow and pressure. It transmits the information through radio communication (4G LTE, NB IoT) to a supervisor. It creates a network to survey the complete water distribution pipe of a city. Fully energy independent and interconnected, it is mainly used for securing the supply of drinking water but can also be used for many other applications. The main fields of application are securing the supply of drinking water, disinfection control, microbiological contamination monitoring, compartmentalization of leakage flows and asset management
