LSF products are produced using a radical new process that makes significant changes to the way that used hydrocarbons are recovered and reused while at the same time substantially benefiting the environment.

The process uses advanced electrochemistry to modify the molecular structure of hydrocarbon-based used materials (oils, rubbers, plastics) by allowing unwanted contaminants (sulphur, metals, chlorine, etc.) to be extracted by a low cost, and minimum emission process. The outputs are a low sulphur fuel, complaint with ISO:8217-2017, that is required to be used by the commercial shipping industry to meet current worldwide emission regulations set by the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) as well as for agricultural or commercial machinery and as an alternative ‘drop-in’ fuel that can comply with the EU REDII directive. In addition, the LSF process can convert a wide range of plastics into a broad range Naphtha, compliant with Platts PAAAL0X specification, which refineries use to produce new plastics and chemicals.
