Identification
POND BIO RESIN SYSTEM supplies patented second-generation biopolymers from recycled biomass that finally have the same performance and specifications – or better – as traditional fossil-fuel plastics.
Pond responds to the growing environmental concerns associated with the production of plastics and composites made from crude-oil based resin. Plastics are ubiquitous in our daily lives and represent a significant environmental burden. Not only does the manufacture of plastic release CO2, but plastic can also persist in the environment for up to a thousand years, polluting soils and oceans and damaging ecosystems. POND BIO RESIN SYSTEM is a brand-new generation of bio-resin, surpassing the available alternatives in terms of biodegradability and percentage of bio-based raw material. Adding virtually any natural fibrous matter for extra biocomposite strength, Pond’s innovation can make use of residue from local agriculture, forestry, or food processing, or from many kinds of industrial biowaste. Moreover, this solution is also able to customize the degradation rate of its products and therefore meet the different regulatory requirements in terms of degradation time in various sectors and countries. Pond Cycle products are available as fibre, granulate, non-woven mats and master-batch concentrate, providing a straightforward, drop-in replacement for problematic old-school plastics.
