Identification
African emerging economies are facing major challenges in reaching the UN Sustainable Development Goals, amongst which Goal 7 Affordable and Clean Energy is of very high importance. On the African continent, over 600 million people live without access to reliable and safe electricity.
The SustainSolar product range addresses the challenge of complexity with the development and implementation of off-grid solar systems. By offering a standardised, modular product offering we significantly simplify the configuration, procurement, logistics and installation of a solar PV power generation plant for the clients. The turn-key approach aims to reduce the complexity and risk for off-grid and mini-grid developers and EPCs and therefore increases the implementation speed. It further offers asset financing and rent-to-own models for the solutions which address another, significant problem rural electrification projects are facing: the large upfront cash requirements. Turnkey, modular, reliable solutions for quick and easy installation across Africa together with a financing option make solar power installations as easy but overall cheaper and cleaner than the mainstream diesel generator.
