LivingPackets aims to topple the one-way use of cardboard in logistics by introducing THE BOX: packaging provided as a service to consumers and businesses.

Global e-commerce is a 3.6 trillion euro industry that is growing by over 20% each year. That significant growth has to contend with many problems: Every year, over 700 million trees are felled to produce the 100 billion packages of waste required for online delivery. 85% of all customers are or have been dissatisfied with their delivery performance due to damaged/stolen packages or never arrived deliveries. Legislators have understood that packaging will have to be eco-friendlier, reusable, and smart. THE BOX combines all ingredients to ensure its success in this movement: it is eco-friendly, reusable, it opens access to second-hand markets and it provides essential data to delivering companies to develop more intelligent logistics. THE BOX can enable the transition to a circular economy in transport. It ensures the same primary function as cardboard and advantageously replaces it: It is designed to fit different sizes and shapes of products without the need of filling material. It can be reused up to 1000 times before any refurbishment. The body of THE BOX is made of expanded polypropylene - fully recyclable while being light and robust.
