Identification
Koalalifter is a technical solution to erect wind turbines and replace spare parts without using a heavy crane. One of the most important advantages of KoalaLifter is the high adaptability of the collars. They are able to copy the shape and diameter of the wind turbine tower thanks to their adaptable friction collars. KoalaLifter is able to climb up the tower using the strength of the tower with winds up to 25 m/s reducing the wind turbine downtime. This provides reliability, robustness and safety during the operation.

- •KoalaLifter adapts to any type of tower of any height
- •Koalalifter lifts blades up to 20 tons, nacelle components up to 30 tons and turbine erection up to 150 tons
- •Component exchange takes 5-6 hours, turbine erection takes 17 hour and the wind turbine shutdown is shorter than with current methods
- •Less tree cutting & civil works because there is no need to create a clearance area to move KoalaLifter. It is transported only in a regular 40’ truck, where current methods need and use up to 40 trucks
- •Fast wind farm commissioning results in 60,000 kg CO2eq saved per wind turbine
- •Less CO2 emissions due to the reduced time to repair a wind turbine: each day the wind turbine cannot operate, it must be substituted by a non-renewable source of energy
