We turn atmospheric CO2 into homes. Growing bamboo captures CO2, turned into building composites for sustainable houses
We reduce CO2 levels from the atmosphere using bamboo fibers to make building composites. We plant new bamboo poles and growing culms sequester carbon dioxide during his photosynthesis, incorporating it to its corporal mass. We bring long lasting carbon storage, turning bamboo fibers into building composites. This agro industry boost forest restoration finances, bringing environmental services, employment, shelter, and peace building. We are seeding as much as one culm per capita (Colombia) over the next 20 years. It means about 77,000 hectares, each one producing yearly at least 100 cubic meters of wood, about 10 basic home structures, close to 100 t of CO2-eq stored (and avoids ~90t emissions from materials like concret or bricks).[University of Hamburg] New forest arise, because we just prune mature culms (less than 30%) without clear cut and no environmental services are disrupted. Colombia has about 7'400.000 people internally displaced (ACNUR 2017) and housing deficit close to 3'300.000 (DANE, Camacol & Bbva Research2017). BambooCorp (Bamboo building composites), contributes to sustainable building, reduce global warming, builds peace with three fold approach; People, Planet, Prosperity.
