Greenitiative is a Romanian NGO established with the goal to contribute to a fast transition to a carbon-free society
About
Since its establishment in 2007, Greenitiative has focused on educational programs for the youth and on promoting green building and green living solutions through demonstration projects in Mogosoaia, Romania, where we have built the ”Green Mogo Training Center”. (www.greenmogo.ro). More than 5000 students and hundreds of teachers and other adults have visited the Center and participated in training activities based on the concept of the ”green-building-as-a-teaching-tool”. Currently, we intend to expand our contribution by promoting carbon-free solutions for urban mobility, specifically by designing and building a vehicle positioned somewhere at the intersection of the bicycle world and the electric car world: small enough to help avoid congestion in big cities but comfortable enough to drive, including in bad weather, so that it could be easily adopted by traditional car drivers.
