Hybrid Magnetic Railway
Description
We can upgrade existing railway infrastructure to the speed of 300 km/h at a reasonable cost starting from EUR 6M/km.
Hyper Poland develops Hyperloop-inspired propulsion and suspension systems for pods and infrastructure – essential modules of an ultra-fast, safe and on-demand railway mode of transportation that will revolutionize the way goods and people are transported, allowing the railways to regain their competitiveness. We are the only company in the world able to gradually implement Hyperloop-inspired solutions as an upgrade for the railway industry. We have developed a unique, patent-pending technology, which allows for a passive, magnetic levitation train to operate on existing railway tracks up to a max. speed of 300 kph (186 mph - Stage 1- hybrid solution allowing to keep the functionality of conventional railways). It can be subsequently transformed into a vacuum system, with a max. speed of 600 kph (373 mph) on existing tracks (Stage 2) and 1,200 kph (746 mph) on new dedicated routes (Stage 3). In the case of existing High-Speed Railways we do not need to go into Stage 3, as we can reach the target Hyperloop speeds in Stage 2, due to large curve radius of these lines. If we start with modernizing them to a passive maglev in Stage 1, we can increase the speed to over 400 kph (249 mph), while keeping the energy cost at the same level as a HSR train needs for 300 kph (186 mph), and with a decrease of maintenance costs of ca. 25% coming from reduced number of moving elements. We can upgrade existing railway infrastructure (sometimes very obsolete) to the speed of 300 kph (186 mph) at a very reasonable cost (estimates at the cost levels of CEE start from ca. EUR 6 million per kilometre of infrastructure). This could tremendously change transportation patterns: increasing mobility of goods and people and hence create a completely new economic, social and environmental landscape in many places in Asia, Africa and Latin America. Europe and North America also remain important target markets for us. Keeping the functionality of conventional railways allows a much faster implementation, while operators are able to depreciate their current rolling stock. With our system railways can tackle the issuess of higher-speeds, interoberability, electification and lowering their operational costs and environmental impact. They can regain the competiveness towards road and air transportation.
