LandHealers.org is responding to the call from Indigenous Youth&Elders to create a worldwide land restoration movement.
Youth and land are two most valuable resources of humanity. Bridging together indigenous young people, who perish from drug and alcohol, loss of direction in life, complete disconnection from their land and traditions, and the need for adaptation to climate change, restoration of forests and land. We create a platform for traditional ecological knowledge exchange and provide a paid profession, and an opportunity to support their community by practicing land/forest restoration, training for other communities. We have achieved long lasting positive results in Hopi and Navajo communities in Arizona (USA). After the success with Native American peoples we have been endorsed by multiple indigenous community leaders, who became our board members, to take Land Healers organisation worldwide. Our solutions are practical and down to Earth. We bring together indigenous trainers, groups of young people in need of profession, financing and local community projects. According to recent studies, a quarter of all lands is in the hands of indigenous populations (The Conversation.com, Indigenous Peoples Are Crucial For Conservation, by Stephen Garnett and others, July 17, 2018). Land restoration profession is an utmost priority for adaptation to climate change and mitigation of environmental impact worldwide .
