MODUTRAM develops, integrates, and markets intelligent public transportation systems known as Automated Transit Networks (ATN), aimed at cities where commuter pain is intense and where new transit infrastructure is needed. We are the Autotrén system integrator and we supply the rolling stock (mini-trains), the battery packs, the recharging equipment, the electronics, and all the software that controls the mini-trains and manages the passenger experience. We offer engineering services that support our customers from project concept to system operation.

AUTOTREN is a modular mass transit system that consists of: 1) a fleet of electric, driverless mini-trains that combine state-of-the-art automotive technology (to reduce costs) and railway technology (to increase capacity and safety); 2) a railway network that is typically elevated or underground, made up of lean, pre-fabricated structural elements (to reduce cost and installation time); 3) an automatic train control system that maintains very short separations between trains (to achieve high capacity even with small trains); 4) an intelligent passenger grouping system that eliminates unnecessary intermediate stops (to achieve high average speeds); and 5) an economic model that allows the system to be operated profitably without subsidies in public-private partnerships.
