About
Sonnenwagen Aachen e.V. was founded in the fall of 2015 as a non-profit organization, together with 45 students from RWTH Aachen University and FH Aachen, pursued the goal of taking part in the world's most famous and hardest solar car race “Bridgestone World Solar Challenge” in Australia in autumn 2017. We were the only German team in the Challenger racing class and have competed against top international universities such as the Stanford University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
We successfully presented ourselves as the best newcomer and have shown the great potential of sustainable mobility concepts.
With the development of our solar racing car, we want to push the potential of solar-powered electric mobility to the limit and make a contribution to the mobility of the future!
