About

We are using novel material to replace Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) with novel Potassium GeoPolymers (KGP) in concrete construction. KGP has been observed to act as an electrical supercapacitor, allowing it to potentially store electrical energy in buildings and structures, which will act as a critical Distributed Energy Resource (DER) in the electrical grid. Novel masonry materials resulting from KGP, and use of other recycled materials incorporated into manufactured concrete block, provide a pallet of engineering solutions to the country’s critical infrastructure needs.
