sunE
Our vision is "Clean energy that moves people". We do that by developing solar transport for the developing world.
sunE™ develops and operates shuttle services for communities using solar powered electric vehicles with grid backup in the Philippines. Our business model integrates environment, social and economic well being, We do this by developing a package that local entrepreneurs can own and operate as businesses. Our aim is to help entrepreneurs create wealth for their families through a service contract business model. This solution reduces street level pollution and greenhouse gas emissions. Passengers tell us that they enjoy the service because it offers them a quiet, comfortable, convenient and cost-effective transportation option.
Our pilot project has been operating in a residential subdivision in Batangas, Philippines since July 2016. The service runs 16 hours/day, 365 days per year with a record of 100% up time to date. During that period, the service has grown from less than 200 to more than 800 passengers/day. We currently employ full-time drivers & technicians, that are receiving medical and other employee benefits that were not available to them in their previous employment.
