Member - Swisspod Technologies

Swisspod is one of world's hyperloop pioneer startup’s founded by two SpaceX multiple award-winning engineers. The ultimate vision at Swisspod is to develop the most efficient and affordable hyperloop solution, which will empower on-the-land connectivity by breaking the time barrier through high speed. To turn the vision into reality, we focus on developing a fully electric capsule which will be operated autonomously and travel through a low-pressure concrete tube using magnetic levitation.

About

Swisspod Technologies, hereby known as Swisspod, was founded in 2019 by two engineers and multiple award winners of the SpaceX Hyperloop competition, Denis Tudor, CEO and Cyril Dénéréaz, CTO. Swisspod is the first Swiss company developing Hyperloop technology, the 5th mode of transportation capable of transporting both cargo and passengers at sonic speeds. As part of our portfolio, we are developing two main products - the Pod and the Infrastructure Design through which the Pod will travel at speeds of up to 1200 km/h. The Pod is a highly specialized electric vehicle that uses magnetic levitation to travel inside a low-pressure tube. In order to differentiate from the existing competition, Swisspod’s aim is to enter the market with the most disruptive technology in terms of energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the infrastructure, offering customers a sustainable and affordable Hyperloop solution. Swisspod’s initial plan stretches over the next 10 years and is divided into 3 main time frames: 2020 - 2022 are dedicated exclusively to System Research and Development; 2022 - 2025 are dedicated to full scale prototyping and completing the design & engineering process; 2025 - 2030 and beyond, dedicated to entering the market via a Pilot Project route, validating the technology in a real world scenario and expanding to new routes.
