SWOOP develops a sustainable alternative to polluting generators by giving a 2nd life to electric vehicle batteries

Conventional generators are necessary when there is no access to the electrical grid. However, they are not at all adapted to the current challenges: they are noisy, dangerous for health and especially polluting.
At SWOOP Energy, we are developing an eco-responsible alternative solution in a circular economy scheme.
We give a second life to the batteries of electric vehicles. After their first life in the vehicle, they keep at least 70% of their initial storage capacity. They are then still largely exploitable in uses less intense than an electric vehicle.
At SWOOP Energy, we recover these batteries, we test them to integrate them into a mobile and low-carbon electrical generator which has two main functionalities: to store energy whether it comes from a photovoltaic installation or from the electrical grid, to then redistribute it when there is no access to the electrical grid.
The advantages are multiple: it is an eco-responsible solution, noiseless and does not release any dangerous gas.
This mobile energy storage system can be used by professionals to decarbonize their activity as well as by individuals to have a backup solution in case of tension on the electrical grid.
