About

What do we do? We provide brands and their customers with a digital tool that solves the sizing issue in the fashion industry, resulting in a better shopping experience through our instant 3D scanning method. Our AI based solution allows everyone to create their digital twin, in-store or at home, while remaining fully dressed. Brands, in turn, will benefit from a better understanding of consumers morphology by having access to a global database. Treedy's aims to become the essential reference in terms of body shape data for the fashion industry. Why do we do it? Unfortunately, retailers continue to produce more and more clothing aiming to satisfy the largest number of people. However, today, 73% of the population is not offered clothes that are appropriate for their body type, resulting in frustration for customers and significant overproduction. Thanks to our in-depth knowledge of consumer morphology, we can help brands produce better (based on their targeted customer), personalize their offerings, and increase customer satisfaction. Generating nearly 1.2 billion tons of greenhouse gasses each year, the fashion industry is one of the most polluting sectors in the world. In 2022, the number of clothing waste exceeded 92 million tons worldwide. Helping shoppers feel and improving their attachment to a garment; not only by quality but mainly with a better fit, is a powerful behavioral driver to improve its usage rate and therefore its longevity. How do we do it? We are a market leader in 3D data collection technologies; having commercialized our solutions with major international companies such as Nike, Amazon, and Zalando. We have partnered with the machine learning department of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), for more than three years and successfully developed solutions that meet the needs of the fashion industry. Our patented Nakednet AI determines the morphology of scanned individuals under any type of clothing. Landmarkpoint, on the other hand, is a software that allows us to define and extract specific body measurements by reproducing the work of a tailor. What’s our Market? Our market is the apparel sector: Fast Fashion, Luxury, tailor-made, workwear and e-commerce. This market represents more than 46,000 brands worldwide. The top 80 retailers alone have over 125,000 stores. In 2021, the ready-to-wear market amounted to $1.5 trillion and is expected to reach $2 trillion by 2026. Although 77% of sales are made in-store, there are few technological tools to help customers during their purchases and unvaluable data for brands to get a better understanding of their customers per market. In the e-commerce sector, the cost of returns averages $12 per returned item and generates an ecological impact up to 2.3 times greater than for a non-returned product. Why are we unique? Our solutions, both in-store through our 3D scanners, and online via our smartphone scanning app, provide fashion industry players with a tool that allows them to know the exact measurements of their customers, both individual and sector-wide. Treedy's centralizes body measurements of consumers, allowing our clients (retailers) to always benefit from the most up-to-date morphological data. Unlike our competitors, our knowledge of body measurements is precise, as opposed to their existing solutions based on approximate analysis of morphology through data analytics. No need to undress, convenience is no longer an obstacle, ensuring total comfort to customers. The experience takes only a few seconds and offers the best adoption rate in the market. Opportunity size? Nearly 80% of consumers are more likely to make a purchase from a brand that offers a personalized experience. To date, there are very few phygital tools in stores. However, the opportunity lies in the fact that consumers use their smartphones daily in their purchasing journey. Today's buyer is more demanding when it comes to the origin and quality of products. Apps that provide this type of information already assist consumers in their purchasing journey. For instance, the Yuka app, which accompanies nearly 25 million users each day during their cosmetic and food purchases. We understand tomorrow’s customers wants and needs. Thus, we bring a digital experience to the store, with our digital sales assistant giving customers fit/style recommendations. On top of that, we enable the existence of tech like virtual try-on and digital tags, providing more information at their fingertips. Why do we have the right team? Our team is made up of experts from the fashion industry, including our chairman who has held executive positions with H&M group, and currently sits on the board of some of the largest fashion brands. Recognized as a leader in the field of 3D scanning solutions, we have attracted Decathlon as a smart investor in 2021 allowing us to benefit from their innovation and retail expertise. We have partnered with the ETRO department of the VUB specialized in artificial intelligence, with deep know-how in 3D data analysis. Why Treedy’s? Our software and AI algorithms are designed to always provide the highest level of accuracy and stability to meet the needs of the fashion industry. There are very few other digital solutions available in stores today. The fashion industry needs to reinvent itself, and this necessarily involves a better understanding of what makes us unique: our morphology. Thanks to the integration of a digital sales assistant in stores, customers will benefit from personalized advice on size, style, and an immersive experience, while also being better informed about products and their traceability. A better understanding of the target consumer will enable retailers to produce better, reducing waste and increasing the utilization rate of clothing, opening the doors to a new, more environmentally friendly consumption model and improve their profitability. In addition to the environmental impact, brands will be able to optimize their operational management by reducing handling in stores, improving their stock management, and reducing traffic in fitting rooms. Initial results in stores already indicate that 2% of visitors spontaneously completed a scan. 45% of them created a customer account, and 97% used the size advisory service, without any communication or encouragement from staff in an 8,500m² store. Based on existing solutions to date (data analytics - only in e-commerce), we expect a minimum increase in the average basket size by 13.5% and a reduction of more than 20% in returns.
