The platform connects the different stakeholders and allows its users to built circular ecosystem : flow of material that start from deposits of used material, through a chain of intermediate transformations, to needs for secondary raw materials. The Cradle to Cradle approach, where we're from, is the root of the circular economy and has been deployed worldwide since the late 1980s. Thousands of products and buildings are designed according to this biomimetic approach where the notion of waste does not exist, where renewable energy is required, and where cooperation between stakeholders is a source of positive impacts. But to “close the loops” of materials, we need viable and resilient economic models based on ecosystems, sources of value creation. That’s what Upcyclea is all about.
