Waveco develops the Subwave turbine, called so because it will operate in the safe haven below the wave zone.

The Subwave turbine has several applications: The Automar is an anchorless observation buoy which can stay on position for years by means of electric trusters powered by a Subwave turbine. Anchored arrays of Subwave units will be deployed in relatively shallow waters near coasts or offshore consumers. One concept for deep sea hydrogen production will enable wave energy harvesting in the most energetic ocean areas on the globe. Hydrogen filling stations in the open sea along shipping routes may be a solution for merchant ships when it will be demanding to bring enough hydrogen for long transits. Waveco AS wishes to develop these technologies step by step.
