The linear economy is driving us toward environmental problems. Unfortunately, it is often easier to throw away a product and buy a new one, no matter if it is still usable or not. This technology and services use a circular approach and sway behaviour away from “buy-use-toss-buy” cycle. When others see waste, we see resources. Collaborative Recycling supports private or public corporations to help them to decrease the amount of waste produced and handle the whole process (inventory, reuse, move, tracking We created a webapp to simplify inventory, an online donation platform to match supply and demand and a traceability tool to keep a record of items redistributed. By giving for free to recipients from the network (local association, social buisnesses, artists’ collectives etc.), clients give second life to their items.

The Environmental Benefits

  • Able to reuse 71% of the resources we treated and save around 25% of CO2 on every item that finds a second life
  • It reduces pollution cause by manufacturing, incineration or landfills (armful substances ; carbon monoxide, volatile organic compounds, sulfur oxides, particulate matter, nitrous oxide, carbon dioxide, methane....) and reduce soil and land contamination

The Financial Benefits

  • A cost efficient choice, can be same price to 40% cheaper than removal companies
