Road freight carriers are under strong economic pressure, operating at profit margins of roughly 3%. Fuel is a major cost factor, accounting for about 30% of operating costs. The importance of reducing fuel increases with rising fuel prices, climate change and the need for shippers to reduce the environmental impact of supply chains. Yet, fuel management today often only happens at the end of the month for reporting purposes. Measures to increase fuel efficiency are missed out as they are dispersed across different fleet activities. Tracks provides road freight carriers a fuel and emissions management tool to centrally measure, reduce and report the fuel consumption and CO2 emissions of their truck fleet. With Tracks' solution, fuel efficiency measures are identified through AI-based digital twins of every truck. In a fuel efficiency hub, fleets can implement recommendations to reduce fuel consumption across fleet activities.

The Environmental Benefits

  • Tracks first product version has the potential to save beyond 27 megatons (Mt) of CO2 in road freight transport globally by reducing the fuel consumption of road freight carriers by up to 15%
