The storage system to decarbonize industrial process heat above heat pump limits of 150 to 1000 °C, around the clock
The patented Green Heat Module (GHM) enables supply of high temperature heat up to 1000 °C for any given load profile around the clock. This is accomplished by producing heat from electricity during times of availability, storing it with high efficiency and releasing it when needed. The GHM optimizes the use of decentralised, behind-the-meter PV and Wind Power installations, while also providing benefits when operating linked to the public electricity grid, where it provides stabilizing services by cutting production peaks and benefitting from dynamic electricity prices. Through this approach, it allows a cost-neutral change from natural gas to renewable energy for industry in the EU and other regulated markets. The GHM is an add-on solution for any thermal plant, which can be integrated without changing the production process itself. It fills a gap for technical challenging applications: Process steam production, thermal oil systems, CHP plants with steam turbines or drying processes.
