Food waste is a global problem. Up to a third of all food gets wasted, ending up in landfills and producing greenhouse gases. According to the UN FAO, if food waste were a country, it would be the third biggest GHG emitter after the USA and China. Food can however be recovered before it becomes waste. The Harvest to Harvest Solution provides a sustainable, profitable and ecologically healthy option to recover food that might otherwise become waste and end up in landfill. The H2H Solution uses a proprietary enzymatic digestion process to recycle food into liquid H2H fertiliser and dried H2H pet food in only a matter of hours. H2H fertiliser improves soil health, feeding plants and beneficial microbial communities, improving plant flowering and fruiting and increasing crop yields. H2H pet food captures the nutritional benefits of perishable fruits and vegetables, meat, fish and prepared foods for greater pet health and wellness.

The Environmental Benefits

  • Each commercial scale H2H facility will reduce annual GHGs by 150,000 MT CO2 eq.
  • Emissions reductions from a commercial scale H2H facility are equivalent to taking 30,000 cars off the road

The Financial Benefits

  • Enables supermarkets to reduce waste costs by over 20%
  • Growers can increase crop yields by 10% - 20%, worth over $2,000/acre/year
