Lungs of the City by ENS Clean Air implemented by City of Eindhoven, Eindhoven University in Eindhoven (Netherlands) in 2018
Showed that health risk could be cost-effectively reduced by 0.5 to 1.5 points in %
Lungs of the City by ENS Clean Air implemented by Interparking NV in Brussels (Belgium) in 2024
Every year, 2.3 billion cubic meters of air are treated across four underground parking facilities in central Brussels, equivalent to 4.7 trillion breaths. This system captures nearly 50 kilograms of particulate matter from the air, preventing it from being inhaled and reducing potential health risks. The solution results in a 25% reduction in air quality-related health risks in nearby areas, leading to significant socio-economic benefits when implemented on a larger scale. Additionally, it uses 80% less energy compared to traditional air purification technologies.
