Identification

Driven by the emerging next-generation AI/CV technologies, it is now a viable venture to measure by direct photographic record plastic waste on our coastlines. This provides a much-needed tool for existing and future players in the “Ocean Health” space with two important and missing aspects. Firstly, to assist in choosing appropriate projects, targeted in the appropriate manner, based on data-driven strategies and secondly, to enable a result-orientated, measurable impact, of the investments made. The database records both a snapshot of existing plastic waste on beaches and coastlines and provides detail of the evolution of said waste.
