Identification
The Solution enables eco-conscious aircraft operators to avoid forming contrails at cruise altitudes, eliminating associated surface warming and cutting up to 60% of aviation's entire climate impact (equivalent to 2% of all human climate impact). The Solution leverages atmospheric science to generate a digital twin of the Earth's atmosphere from the surface to space, allowing operators to navigate around atmospheric zones where persistent contrail formation is likely. In addition to enabling contrail avoidance, the Solution also tracks aircraft movements to quantify achieved climate benefit for conversion into carbon credits in an emerging market worth up to $9bn globally (2019 flight numbers).
