Agora Software: turning data into actions The vision Agora Software was founded in 2019 in France, with the vision that a fragmented IT environment is a major obstacle preventing IT from delivering the promised benefits. To solve this problem, a strong statement was made: natural language, as people use it, can be an effective convergence layer in most cases if some technical challenges can be solved. To implement this vision, Agora has developped a solution and a specialized NLP (natural language processing) in order to build bridges across the two main divides that digital projects faces: - Data sources are highly fragmented: IoT, business applications, web services, industrial devices, etc… Being able to bring them together in a simple and universal manner will deliver a huge value to businesses, people and society as a whole; - We (users, employees, citizens, families,etc.) are not HTML or API oriented: we are very social and communicative organisms, using our own language (aka natural language) to exchange information; we must be able to use digital services the same way: throughout our own language. The Agora solution The Agora Software solution is delivered from a resilient cloud platform that connects a large set of applications, web services, IoT platforms, etc. in a secure and private workspace. Two main services are available for each workspace: 1. Define and activate scenarios from a no-code interface; these customer-defined scenarios make it possible to combine real-time data streams, identify trigger situations, generate in real-time commands to computing devices, applications, and more, as well as to send messages to people. 2. Communicate with users in natural language: multi-intents, two-way flows, rich notifications, etc. Omnichannel, exchanges are delivered in a multilingual manner, on all business collaboration applications (MS Teams, Slack, Google, etc.) and social networks (Messenger, WhatsApp, Line, etc.). The impact The Agora solution can be used in many concrete situations: energy, smart cities, agriculture, industry, e-tourism, home support for the elderly, etc.: wherever the combination of multiple information flows is a source of value, innovation and well-being. For example, in the sector of energy reduction for buildings, the combination of occupancy calendars, weather forecasts, power grid situation and occupancy sensor can reduce the energy consumption of the building by 20 % to 30% without costly modifications and without impact on the comfort of the users of these buildings.
