About

The biaxial photovoltaic trackers designed by the OKWind Group follow the path of the sun like a sunflower and produce 70% more than the fixed equivalent. They allow our customers to consume their renewable energy production at a competitive rate, without suffering from cost increases and without mobilising public subsidies. They consist of a set of photovoltaic panels of 117 m² mounted on a 7 m high mast. Their very small footprint allows them to be easily installed on agricultural land (1500 in operation to date on farms). A genuine land development tool, our trackers allow energy to be produced and therefore generate value in diffuse areas without having to reinforce the distribution networks. Connected in real time with the French weather forecasting databases, remotely controlled and monitored, they have recently been coupled with an AI-based energy management system that allows them to cover 50 to 70% of the self-consumption needs of professional sites while reducing their consumption by 10 to 20% (water treatment plants, industrial sites with positive cooling, etc.). An agrivoltaic tracked power plant of 10 trackers (installed power 220 kWp equivalent 375 kWp fixed) is easily connectable to the low voltage network, can be implanted on constrained terrain (mountainous area) and has an excellent landscape integration with a free and evolving use of the surfaces under the trackers.
