Solar Impulse Foundation to attend COP 28

The Solar Impulse Foundation will be attending COP28 in Dubai, from November 30th to December 12th. The delegation will be led by its chairman and co-founder, Bertrand Piccard.

Joining a wide number of labelled solutions also present at the conference, the Foundation will introduce its latest initiative The New Climate Narrative.

The current climate language can be discouraging in its tone and therefore counterproductive. Effective mobilisation hinges on highlighting the concrete advantages - especially economic - of implementing solutions that reduce environmental footprint, including in renewable energy and energy efficiency. A decade ago, this was not obvious; today, thousands of solutions exist, such as the ones labelled by the Foundation, that can usher the world, from North to South, in a new era of job creation and business opportunities, benefiting both public and private sectors. This dynamic shift will not only empower investors and consumers but also catalyse a surge in demand for innovation across affluent and emerging markets.

Through panels, receptions and high-level bilaterals, the Foundation will push the new narrative, along with its other objectives such as solution implementation, regulatory upgrades and cleantech financing.
